Dark Circles Treatment

Dark circles refer to puffiness under the eyes and darkening of the skin underneath the eyes. They can cause cosmetic problems. It’s not usually a serious condition, and it doesn’t often cause any complications. These features should be seen bilaterally. Both men and women can develop dark circles. These dark circles are more common in adults than they are in children. At Bella Pelle cosmetic Clinic we use the latest Laser technology for the Dark Circles Treatment.

What Causes Dark Circles Under the Eyes?

The skin below the eyes is usually thinner and more sensitive than the rest. It is susceptible to hyperpigmentation and swelling. A combination of several factors can cause dark circles. Dark circles can be caused by:

  • Insufficient sleep, disturbed sleeping or excessive sleep and fatigue
  • Skin irritation and skin inflammation.
  • Frequently occurring allergies and sinus infections.
  • The natural ageing process leads to increased under-eye skin thinning.
  • Poor diet and nutrition.
  • Excessive sun exposure.
  • Eye strain is mainly due to prolonged use of the computer screen, phone screen, or TV.
  • Smoking and Drug Abuse. Alcohol.
  • Predisposition to genetic factors
  • People with darker skin tones are more likely to develop hyperpigmentation. These skin tones may have darker circles.
  • Dark circles in children are usually caused by poor sleep quality. This can be caused by chronic conditions such as adenoiditis or tonsillitis, which can cause obstruction to the airway.

How to Remove or Reduce the Dark Circles?

Laser therapy

Laser treatments use heat energy to vaporize damaged cells. The darker pigment under the eyes can be targeted, along with lightening darker skin tones.  Laser therapy may induce new collagen formation. Depending on the condition in some cases for the Dark Circles treatment, we may need several sessions .

RF Microneedling

prompts the skin cells to get into repair mode which in turn prompts lightening of the dark pigments. If combined with chemical peels, this can increase the penetration and activity of the peel. Redness and swelling are common after the procedure.
