Intimate Skin Laser Lightening

The skin in intimate areas such as underarms, external genitals, groin, perianal area, nipples, and areola is often darker than the surrounding skin, and these areas can darken with age and friction. While this is a normal phenomenon, both men and women may find it unattractive and unsightly, which can negatively impact relationships and self-esteem.

For those interested in addressing the colour of the skin in intimate areas, Bella Pelle Cosmetic Clinic offers safe, rejuvenating, transformative medical-grade laser treatments. Lasering hyperpigmented (darker) areas of skin helps create a more even skin tone that is cohesive across the entire body.

We will develop a customised treatment plan tailored to your skin, prioritising your confidentiality and comfort.

Intimate lightening is a lightweight, non-invasive treatment that requires no downtime or recovery period. The area may feel mildly uncomfortable after treatment but should return to normal within 24 hours.

What are the benefits of lightening the skin in intimate areas?

Many patients experience increased self-confidence in these intimate areas after treatment, which can translate into heightened feelings of attractiveness and empowerment.

Can laser treatment remove dark intimate areas?

When the darkened skin is exposed to laser treatment, it removes damaged skin cells and helps regenerate new skin cells. These new skin cells result in lighter and younger-looking skin.

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Two days prior to treatment, discontinue using any topical medications. If unsure about using any product, please stop using it and discuss it with your practitioner at your appointment.
  • Shave the area before your appointment.
  • If you have a history of herpes simplex virus (cold sores or fever blisters), in rare instances, reactivation of this condition could occur after treatment. Please inform your nurse or physician so that antiviral medication can be prescribed before treatment.

POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • During the first five days post-treatment, care should be taken to prevent trauma to the treated site: avoid scrubs, Clarisonics, loofahs, microderm crystals, washcloths, or anything abrasive. Any mechanical or thermal damage to the area must be avoided.
  • Avoid anything that produces heat in the skin for five days: hot baths, steam rooms, saunas, hot showers, UV exposure, and hot tubs. The gym should also be avoided for 24-48 hours.
  • Cleanse the skin the following morning post-treatment with our gentle cleanser. The skin should be kept clean (cleanse twice a day) to avoid contamination or infection.
